Regularisation in Spain starts with the right route, not only with the time you have been here.
For routes that require a period of residence, two years may be relevant under the current framework, but the exact modality and its additional requirements must still be checked.
Immigration rules change. Check the current official source and your individual circumstances.
Why the two-year point is not the whole answer
The current immigration framework includes five forms of arraigo: second opportunity, sociolaboral, social, socioformative and family. For the forms that require a residence period, two years is the general threshold in the current framework; family arraigo follows a different rule.
The practical review should cover how residence can be evidenced, the applicant’s circumstances, family situation, employment or training links where relevant, and any previous administrative action.
